I never dreamed about visiting the Caribbean. I’m not a fan of those busy ports of call where people go to gamble and buy duty-free junk and there’s no connection to the local culture or landscape. This is one of koucou’s favorite spots, a tiny property run solicitously by an expat-turned-local named Kimberly. There are two cottages and a larger house on the property. The former two are rustic affairs, filled with cute, beachy bric-a-brac from Eleuthera and beyond. They’re bright and friendly and quite comfortable. There’s an outside bathroom and shower—the latter is ideal for getting well and truly in the spirit of the place—and the overall impression is delightful.
